Bobble Letter E or O ? Free crochet pattern

The first bobble letter was the vowel a.
Two weeks ago you have got the pattern for the consonant h.
You need the letter 'h' twice for our text.
This week you get the patterns for two vowels.
You may crochet this week  the letters 'e' and 'o', one of each.

A list of supplies you can find HERE
For the vowels e and o use the same yarn color as you used for the 'a', color 1.

Abbreviations US terms

ch = chain
t-ch = turning chain; this does not count as a stitch
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
cl = cluster stitch or bobble stitch
st = stitch
2 sc tog = crochet 2 single crochets together

A tutorial for the cluster stitch or bobble stitch can be found HERE.

Work Description

Letter e and o

Crochet a chain of 27 (not too tight!)

Round 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook.Work 1 sc in each next ch, 1 t-ch (does not count as stitch) (26). Turn your work.Each next row has 26 stitches.

Round 2: 1 sc in each stitch, 1 t-ch, turn.
Round 3: 1 sc in each stitch, 1 t-ch, turn your work

Now measure the crocheted piece on the canvas.
Is it fitting nicely on the front of the list.
It should measure between 10 and 11 cm wide.

Is the piece too big?
Then you crochet too loose.
Crochet this little piece again with a thinner crochet hook.
Is it slip too narrow?
Then you crochet too tight.
Then crochet this piece again using a crochet hook 3.5 mm or crochet less tight.

Is your work too short or not square?
Then crochet:

Round 26: 1 t-ch, turn, 1 sc in each stitch, 1 t-ch, turn

      Groetjes, Margaret
